MSU President’s Pay Very Low or Very High, Depending on Comparison Published November 2, 2009 One day before the Montana Board of Regents meets to decide on a salary offer to Montana State University’s next president, the University System reported that the job’s current salary is at least $100,000 below what similar universities pay. MSU currently pays its president $205,050, or $127,000 less than the 32-university average.
